Fr. Emilian Vettath - A Blessed Life
Fr. Emilian Vettath CMI was a priest lived in a remote village Muttar in Kerala, India. Through the 92 years of life he brought several people especially children towards Jesus Christ. He was born on 26 february 1902 at Kainakary, a small village in Alappuzha, Kerala. He was professed on 24 november 1927 and ordained as a priest on 6 june 1936. He lived in Jesus through the "little way" as of St. Therese of Lisieux. He was a true follower of St. Therese. A humble priest with a good heart. He was never rude to children who made mistakes but gave corrections. A less talkative person but who talk regularly with Jesus. People in muttar used to say that the Holy Qurbana he celebrates had felt divine. He was called to his eternal abode on 14 august 1994 at muttar.

മുട്ടാർ ഗൊവേന്തയിലെ ആധ്യാത്മിക ഗുരുവും, സന്യാസി ശ്രേഷ്ഠനുമായ ഇദ്ദേഹം ,വിദ്യഭ്യാസ മേഖലയിൽ പ്രദേശത്തു മഹത്തായ ഒരു മുന്നേറ്റം ഉണ്ടാക്കുവാൻ പ്രയത്നിച്ച ഒരു മഹത് വ്യക്തിത്വമാണ്.മുട്ടാർ മരിയകരി ഗൊവേന്ത വലിയ പള്ളി നിർമ്മിക്കാൻ മുൻകയ്യെടുത്തതും ഇദ്ദേഹമായിരുന്നു. ബാഹ്യ ലോകവുമായി അധികം സംസർഗ്ഗം ഇല്ലാതിരുന്ന ഈ സന്യാസി 1994 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് പതിനാലാം തിയതി കർത്താവിൽ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു. ഇദ്ദേഹം മുട്ടാർ ഗൊവേന്ത പള്ളിയിൽ കബറടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ദൈവിക ചൈതന്യം നിറഞ്ഞ ഈ ജീവിതം അശരണരുടെ പ്രാർത്ഥനകൾക്കായി ഇന്നും ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ നിരന്തരം അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

ഒരു പാട് ഓര്മ്മകള് !! 1957 ല് ചെത്തിപുഴ ആശ്രമത്തില് അള്ത്താര ശുശ്രുഷി ആയി അരങ്ങേറ്റം കുറിച്ച കാലം മുതലുള്ള പരിചയം.. ഉയരം കുറഞ്ഞ ആള്.. എല്ലാവരോടും സൗഹൃദം ഉള്ള പെരുമാറ്റം.. ഒരു റിക്ഷയില് കുമ്പസാരം കേള്ക്കാന് വാഴപ്പള്ളി ആരാധനാ മഠത്തില് എല്ലാ ആഴ്ചയും അദ്ദേഹം പോയിരുന്നു.. എന്തോ ഒരു ഓപ്പറേഷന് കഴിഞ്ഞത് കൊണ്ട് വളരെ പതിയെ മാത്രമേ നടക്കുമായിരുന്നുള്ളൂ... ദൈവത്തെ സ്നേഹിച്ചും മനുഷ്യരെ മാനിച്ചും ജിവിച്ച ഒരു വിശുദ്ധ സന്യാസി... ആദരവോടെ... !!
വി. കുര്ബാനയ്ക്ക് മുമ്പും ശേഷവും ദീർഘ നേരം പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയില് മുഴുകിയിരുന്നു. മുട്ടാറ്റില് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ പരിചയപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുള്ളവര് ഒന്നടങ്കം പറയും, അദ്ദേഹം ഒരു വിശുദ്ധനാണ് എന്ന്. വി. കൊച്ചുത്രേസിയായുടെ വലിയ ഭക്തനായിരുന്നു എമിലിയാനച്ചന്.
നമ്മുടെ ഈ വന്ദ്യ വൈദികന്റെ ഓര്മ്മ നിലനിര്ത്താം, വരും തലമുറയിൽ. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പക്കല് ശക്തമായ മദ്ധ്യസ്ഥം യാചിക്കുന്ന എമിലിയാനച്ചനോട് നമുക്കും പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കാം. ഏറെ വൈകാതെ ദൈവം അദ്ദേഹത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനായി പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കാം.

I am Eapen Varghese. I am writing this comment to share about that I have got a blessing through the intercession of Rev. Fr. Emilian Vettath CMI, a priest lived in Muttar, Alappuzha, India. I have caught a fever a day I started praying to Fr. Emilian because the People of our church have said that Fr. Emilian was a saint. I don't know why people are not seeking his intercession although they are saying and our parish's vicar also said about him in a Sunday Mass that he was a saint. When I started praying, I got a confidence, and I repeated several times. At that time I was shivering. After some time, my shivering has gone and temperature lowered. I jumped up from the bed and said to my Father and Mother that my fever has gone, I prayed to Fr. Emilian. I was hoping for a blessing from Fr. Emilian. Finally I got. Also my friend has got a favour something small. My sister got Job after 5 years.
